In the beginning of this year, KIND booked a special order. Not only the order value in high 6-figure range, but also special demands for material and forging technology made this order extremely interesting!

The order encloses large forged and rolled Rings, Discs, (Blind) Flanges and Nozzles. The description "large" gets a quite particular importance here: Some rings have an outside diameter of more than 4200 mm and a gross weight of more than 8500 kg. After the final machining, which was also carried out by KIND, a final machined weight of "only" 5100 kg remained.

The forging process, as well as the heat treatment and finishing of these parts in the heat-resistant high alloyed steel grade Alloy 800H / W.No. 1.4876 H / UNS N08810 came along with special demands.

Qualified by decades of experience, our specialists from departments of production planning, forging technology, machining and quality management, the company was able to complete the order successfully at the end of June.
